What we Do

Since 1948, Olympic Supply Co. has been serving the Independent Bicycle Dealer the only way we know how… by having an almost zealous attention to you, the dealer. As a family owned business, with a different set of goals and values, we are able to focus on your long term sustainability. At Olympic, our sales reps aren’t there to force product into your store, force heavy sales for short term gains, or pressure you to stock items that don’t work for you, your store, and your market. As partners in the cycling industry, we help analyze your customer base and suggest a line of parts and accessories that complements your business.

At Olympic Supply, our main focus is on customer service. This means that our reps are more than just order takers and returns processors; they will include you in their rounds and most customers see their rep once every two weeks. It is our goal to be more than just a P&A purchasing portal and our hands-on approach means you get taken care of quicker, get your hands on new products faster, and are treated like the individual you are as opposed to a number in the system (well, at least until you call enough so we get to know you).

Company History

What we did

Back in the late 1940s (1948 to be exact), Olympic Supply was just a dream of Alphonse Goniu. Being a serial entrepreneur and notorious bootstrapper, Al started Olympic Supply after dabbling in many post-depression era business ventures. It started in the wake of Rezid Corporation, a distributor of chemicals, but the partnership dissolved and Al needed a new business to pursue. Over time, Al found his way into the cycling market. just like many of the bicycle shops of the time, Olympic Supply didn’t limit itself to just bicycles. Olympic was originally in the hobby business as bicycles fit into that category. Around this time, it wasn’t unusual for hobby shops and hardware stores to carry a full line of bicycles.

Images from the early days

Over the years, Al’s oldest son Donald joined the company and Olympic Supply started to shift it’s focus towards bicycles. Through the years, Olympic had represented Raleigh, Eddy Merckx, Falcon, and Takara to name a few.
